Alfie - York

alfie

Alfie is a 3-year-old, neutered male, light Black & Tan.  He is being rehomed due to owner’s illness.  Quite vocal when you meet him, but it’s all typical GSD bravado.  A beautiful, large, but overweight example of the breed, he is microchipped.  He needs an owner who can give him lots of exercise to reduce his weight.  Alfie has been in kennels far too long.

Zorro, York - comes complete with cape and mask!!

zorro black gsd

Zorro is a big, handsome boy of  approx 15-month .  Recently neutered, he is a calm, easy to manage boy who loves people, walks well on the lead and learns extremely quickly.  He would be ideal for someone who wants to do agility or obedience work.  He’s one of the easiest dogs we have had in kennels, but he’s been there far too long and desperately needs a new home as he is loosing weight.

Jess - Lancashire

jess gsd

Jess is a 3yr old girl who is currently living happily with two cats and children. She really needs a new chance at life, her current owners are unable to give her the attention she deserves so she isnt being exercised regularly and is very excitable when out. Jess does react to other dogs, she also hasnt had much lead or any recall work however with training and patience this will improve greatly. She is wary of new people and needs time to get to know you but will soon want to play when she does! Jess needs an experienced home with someone who will work to bring her up to her full potential she is a very intelligent girl especially if you have cheese in your pocket!! Can you offer this gorgeous little girl her second chance?

Tye - York

tye gsd

Tye, a young, neutered male, aged about 2.  Extremely friendly, just wants to be with you, easy to handle and very responsive to his handler.  We walked him with a GSD bitch and he simply wanted to play.  He will make someone a great companion.  He needs to be out of kennels soon before he becomes institutionalised.

Cassie - Northumberland

cassie

Cassie is a 6-year old, is a lovely natured, neutered bitch who let our volunteer in the yard without a problem then played ball with him.  She is now in a foster home and doing great she was scared when she first arrived as she was faced with 4 other dogs of different sizes. She has now settle in and plays in the garden with all of them and I will say they are ALL BITCHES, she has also met the cat and was ok she plays with the two children. So I would say that anyone who is willing to give Cassie a home will be getting a very good girl. There must be someone willing to give her a home, this girl has been passed about and needs a stable home where she will give lots of love.

Cassie - Devon

cassie gsd

Cassie is a soft gentle 6yr old girl who threw no fault of her own is being rehomed for the 5th time.  She does suffer from separation anxiety which will need to be addressed.  She would benefit from being rehomed with a family who has one member at home all day.  She does have a lump on her nose which could have resulted in her being beaten by one of her previous owners.  If she becomes scared she puts herself in the bath for protection.  We are not sure if she is used to cats as we have no experience on that. She is good around children but again because of her nervousness would be better to be rehomed with older, settled children.

Stella - Essex

stella gsd

Stella is a 7 year old unspayed bitch. She does not like other dogs, however she is not aggressive towards them. She does not like cats either. Stella is strong on the lead so will need training. She is good with children but because she has not had much if any training, we would rehome with older children only. She is only being rehomed as her owners has had to move into accommodation where dogs are not allowed.

Tessa - West Sussex

tessa gsd

Tessa is a 3 year old unspayed bitch. She is currently living with a Jack Russel but has not really met any other dogs. She has only met older children so we would not rehome her with young children. Unknown with cats.  She travels well but can be noisy. She is food possessive from the Jack Russell.  Poor Tessa  cannot eat any red meat. She is fine on with chicken, fish and turkey but currently is fed on Hi-Life which she is fine with. She also likes raw vegetables!  Tessa is prone to ear infections so needs her ears cleaned and drops in once a week and to top it all, the poor girl has a bad skin reaction if she comes into contact with long grass. Tessa’s mum will be going back to work fulltime which means she will be left for 11 hours a day. Are you the special home that can give Tessa the love, time and attention she needs?

Tia - Hampshire

tia white gsd

Tia is a lovely white GSD spayed bitch aged 4 years. Superb temperament and attitude. Good with children of all ages, has no food or toy aggression and is a quiet and obedient dog. Loves playing with her ball and very welcoming to strangers in the home and outside. Micro chipped, but out of date for inoculations. Rescued when she was about 2 but due to no fault of her own she needs a new home. Her only trait (which would easily be resolved) is her attitude towards other dogs when out either on or off the lead. Initially barks/growls but once she gets to know them she is perfectly fine. Just needs someone with a bit of time to socialise her and boost her confidence and she will be a great loyal friend for life.

Clyde

clyde gsd

Clyde is a 3 year old neutered male. We do not have much information on him as he was given to his current owner by her family and she has only had him 2 weeks and is unable to exercise him. He has been good with her grandchildren but we would recommend older children only. He has reasonable obedience and was accepting of our volunteer, but will need an experienced owner to guide him along the right path as it appears he has never clearly been shown.
